Duke of Wellington 'British Victories' | Memento from 1816

A fine example of the 1816 produced Duke of Wellington 'British Victories'. This Georgian memento of the Napoleonic Wars has a brass coin / container with a relief portrait of the Duke of Wellington the the obverse, and a victory designation in relief to the reverse. Opening the coin / container reveals circular cards with the name and date of all the Napoleonic battles ending with the Battle of Waterloo. Diamter 4.5cm x 8mm deep.

Condition report: The brass coin / container now with a darkened patina, and remaining uncleaned. Inside, the circular cards remaining in generally clean condition.
